The wedding guest puzzle: Link-a-Pix at first sight

Thursday, November 6, 2008 Custom Link-a-Pix with wedding guest signitures

I am a high school math teacher and got hooked on Link-a-Pix puzzles a few years ago after one of my co-workers who had completed ones hanging in her classroom showed them to me. I was hooked after the first one. A few months later, I met Mike. During one of our first dates, he saw one sitting on the coffee table and asked about it. I showed him how to do it and he started working away at it. From then on, we would work on them together and even hang up completed ones on the fridge.

After Mike and I got engaged he came up with the idea of seeing if we could have a custom Link-a-Pix puzzle made of us. We had been brainstorming ideas of how we could use the puzzle for our wedding: a game at showers, party favors for our guests to try, have a completed one framed at the reception, and a few others.

Copies of the puzzle next to the completed one

Finally, we decided to complete the puzzle ourselves and have it on display at our wedding reception; we asked our guests to sign the matte around it. We thought this way more guests at the wedding could see what it was and it would be neat for us to have for years to come. We also thought that it would be really fun to see if they got into the puzzles as well.

We had copies of the puzzle next to the completed one, so that they could take it home and try it for themselves. We are glad that we were able to share our enjoyment of Link-a-Pix puzzles and hope that there are now even more puzzle fans out there.
